Sydney singer-songwriter Hollie Col has once again delivered a refreshing alt-pop hit with her latest offering ‘Reruns’, produced & co-written by Dylan Nash (Dean Lewis, Angus & Julia Stone), out now via Believe.
Commenting on the single, Hollie says “I hope listening to Reruns makes whatever weight you are carrying feel a little lighter. Ultimately, I wrote it about showing up for someone you care about and being there when they’re ready to talk. It’s about those nights watching reruns of their favourite show with them, just so they know you’re there if they need you. It’s about inviting them on a drive down the coast, to get them out of their head and into the salty air or keeping an eye on them when they’re a little distant at that party you’re both at. There’s something really beautiful about human connection, it’s truly the most valuable thing we have. So, I hope, especially in a world of lockdowns, and social isolation, if you’re feeling heavy or lonely, you can put this song on and it can feel like that friend you need right now.”

Today is National Coming Out Day and to celebrate Hollie has released the clip for ‘Reruns’, the follow-up clip to previous single ‘Forgot To Love You’ and the introduction to Julia Stevens. Creating music clips gave Hollie the confidence to come out through her own music and so she has teamed up with Minus 18 to help raise funds for the LBTQIA+ Youth charity via the new clip.
Hollie explains the importance of teaming up with Minus 18, “I’m so passionate about using my music and videos to advocate for lgbtq+ youth and give them stories that look like theirs. Growing up, I didn’t see much of that, and so three years ago, I self-directed my first music video about two women falling in love, and I used that to come out to my wider group of friends and family. Fast forward to National Coming Out day 2021, it only felt right that I celebrate the release of my new music video ‘Reruns’ by fundraising for LGBTQ+ youth through Minus 18. I am so humbled and excited to be able to use my platform to raise money for Minus 18, so that they can continue to provide support, love and safety to LGBTQ+ youth and advocate for an Australia that celebrates them.”
The clip shows the budding relationship between Hollie & Julia Stevens, and the love that develops over the cause of a car ride.

Hollie describes the clip, “The Reruns music video is about the beauty of human connection and love. It’s about two women who meet, whether by serendipity or fate, when one happens to cross the other, hitchhiking on the side of a small town, country road. There is something so natural and beautiful, watching them fall in love with their own lives again, and maybe even each other. This video is only one part of the Julia Stevens Series, and I can’t wait for you to see their love story play out.”
‘Reruns’ is a continuation of Hollie’s masterfully created seven-part series titled ‘The Julia Stevens Story’, an episodic fictional series teasing fans to one ‘part’ at a time, and slowly unravelling the thrilling and unexpected love story between Col herself, and Julia Stevens. The first six parts of ‘The Julia Stevens Story’ are delivered in conjunction with the first three EP singles. Each single is accompanied by two parts, a music video and later, a standalone extended scene, to propel the narrative forward before the next single, an incredibly impressive and powerful elevation for Col as a writer and director.
To celebrate the release of her new singles ‘Forgot To Love You’ & ‘Reruns’, Hollie is hitting the east coast for a run of shows which will be the first-time since 2019’s sold-out Unholy Tour. For those fans that missed out on her sold-out She Knows Tour in 2020 due to COVID cancellation, this is the perfect opportunity to see all your favourite tracks as well as brand-new material performed live.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
