Ah, Number 19. In mini golf, the 19th hole is the extra hole in which the winner earns an instant prize. To us, logging in and loading up ISOL-AID is your instant prize. Everyone’s a winner baby when it comes to bandwidth-charged instant gratification! We’re cutting off the dead ends, we’re coiffuring the concert-going experience and we’re combing out the bad vibes to bring you an online party time excellent!

Last week we got keen on the scene in Bellarine but this weekend’s ISOL-AID begins with selections from Melbourne Selectah Rick HowePBS RIDDIM YARD.

Rick’s picks start off proceedings in the USA with MADDIE RUTHLESS – powerful frontwoman of reggae band THE FAR EAST and a musical selector herself, this performance is gonna get that ass off the couch. After Maddie has got us moving, NZ base-d riddim producer NARAM will continue the boogie in your butt.

Next cab off the rank is Mullimbimby-born First Nation’s singer/songwriter ELEEA who is carving out a cool, bluesy sound for herself after appearing as a contestant on The Voice.

After all that magic, Melbourne based PR and Management agency AANTHOLOGIES will showcase some of its local and international talents taking you to Los Angeles, Melbourne, Fremantle and Paris. Performances will be from LA-based R&B-infused indie-pop artist TIM ATLAS, Melbourne after dark pop darlings FERLA, BABY BULLDOG – a one-women project from LA who tells queer love stories from behind her drumkit, alternative rock/indie lo-fi nostalgia WA band HAIRCARE and Melbourne four-piece POLARIZE and wrapping up with the much-touted originals of the art-rock and DIY spirit, Parisian trio ORACLE SISTERS.

Were not sure about you, but all we ever dreamed of was being able to attend a school of rock. In Eumundi, Queensland this is a reality. ISOL-AID audiences will be treated to a performance from Aria award-winning artist KATIE NOONAN accompanied by the EUMUNDI SCHOOL OF ROCK KIDS. Eumundi School of Rock is a free music school based on Gubbi Gubbi country on the Sunshine Coast in Qld. In its fifth year, the school aims to provide quality music education for people in the area aged grade 3-8 and also boasts brand new Imperial Hotel Eumundi Super band – a sextet of legends aged 13-17. Teachers are paid professionally, the kids only play Aussie tunes and the aim of the game is to make young people feel good, make friends and discover music’s magic. The performance is a huge part of the school’s fundraising for the year and all proceeds go to keeping the school rockin! You can donate HERE

The Noonans are one talented family and Katie’s bruv TYRONE NOONAN will be performing after the Eumundi legends. Tyrone began his multi-faceted career in band George alongside Katie and has since gone on to release 8 EPs, 2 albums and an award winning DVD solo style. Tyrone’s long awaited album ‘Utopia?’ will be released later this year and this performance will be a taste of whats to come.

Roundhouse kicking the festival out of the weekend and into another week of ISO life-o will APEMAN. Born and bred in Brisbane (AKA Nu-Meanjin) with mixed Bundjalung and Irish heritage, APEman has always struggled to find belonging in our confusing world. That is until he discovered the magic of digital media and began hurling music, visual art and videos out with primal fervor! Strap yourselves in.

We love that our festival is free to watch, but we do ask online attendees to help support the artists if you can. 100% of whatever you donate will go directly to the Isol-Aid artists and their teams.

As you know, the loss of touring and live performance income has caused financial strain and even strife for many in our music community. Throwing in even what you’d normally pay for a beer or two at the show will make a huge difference to these acts. And we’ll be eternally grateful, too!

You can look good and feel amazing. Artist donations, merch and feel good vibes from isolaidfestival.com.

Comb on over.
