INCLUDING A DAY ON THE GREEN SHOWS
NOVEMBER 2020

.

Roundhouse Entertainment in conjunction with Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce the return of multi-Platinum British singer and songwriter JAMES BLUNT, who makes his highly anticipated return to Australia in November 2020, performing at a day on the green wineries as well as indoor shows.

Joining JAMES BLUNT at all his Australian shows will be special guest and old friend, Grammy award-winning pop craftsman JASON MRAZ, who returns to Australia for the first time in six years. The pair have been occasional touring partners over the years, sharing stages in the US, Canada, UK and Ireland since 2005.

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday December 3 at 10.00am local time from Ticketmaster.

a day on the green is also proud to welcome acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter OLYMPIA, who will be making her a day on the green debut on this tour.

The tour news comes off the back of JAMES BLUNT’s recently released, critically acclaimed sixth album, Once Upon A Mind – out now via Atlantic Records/Warner Music Australia.

The chart-topping superstar, made famous by his honest, heartfelt songs and impressive Twitter skills, will perform indoor shows in Melbourne and Sydney, as well as five special a day on the green concerts: Perth’s Kings Park & Botanic Gardens on Thursday November 12; Peter Lehmann Wines, Adelaide SA on Saturday November 14; Rochford Wines, Yarra Valley VIC on Sunday November 15; Bimbadgen, Hunter Valley, NSW on Saturday November 21; and Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton QLD on Sunday November 22.

It’s been 15 years since fans first fell in love with the charming JAMES BLUNT via his blockbuster 2004 debut album Back To Bedlam and the global sensation You’re Beautiful. With more than 67 million streams in Australia to date and 23 million albums sold worldwide, as well as 5 x Grammy Award nominations, 2 x BRIT Awards and 2 x Ivor Novello Awards, James recently returned with his latest, deeply personal 2019 album, Once Upon A Mind, debuting at Number 5 in Australia on the ARIA chart.

Fans will instantly recognise James in the video for Cold, filmed in the Welsh countryside, mirroring the iconic music video and a circular nod to You’re Beautiful. Cold reflects where he’s come from – and where he’s now going. “I’m back where I started,” says James of his new material. “Writing songs for me and the people around me. And I’m free again.”

‘Once Upon A Mind is by far James’ most personal and raw (album) since his debut.’ – The Sun

‘If Back To Bedlam was his songs of innocence then Once Upon A Mind is his songs of experience.’ – Mail On Sunday.

JASON MRAZ’s soulful folk-pop sound has led to seven million album sales, two Grammy Awards and honours at the Songwriters Hall of Fame. His hits include the record-breaking I’m Yours, I Won’t Give Up, Love Is Still The Answer and The Remedy (I Won’t Worry). Currently recording new music for release in 2020, the San Diego singer-songwriter, who is much-loved in Australia, has just released Christmas Valentine, a holiday duet with Ingrid Michaelson, exclusively via Amazon.

Jason sits on the board of the ASCAP Foundation and also runs the Jason Mraz Foundation, which advocates for inclusive arts education and the advancement of equality, donating more than US$1 million to non-profits. He’s also at the helm of Mraz Family Farms, established in 2015 and committed to peace via organic regenerative agriculture and fair trade, farming coffee beans and avocados.

‘It takes a certain kind of person to write songs that are so honest and prolific that it not only brings listeners to tears, but gets them to dance, or inspires them, or opens their heart. Jason Mraz is that kind of person. He’s been a large part of the pop rock music scene and vital songwriting of the past decade or so, and his presence is one known only of greatness.’  – Aquarian Weekly

‘Jason Mraz became the light of hope we needed with his new album Know’ – Entertainment Tonight

OLYMPIA (real name: Olivia Bartley) found fame with her 2016 debut album, Self Talk, which was a finalist in the Australian Music Prize for Album of the Year and led to a nomination for Breakthrough Artist at the ARIA Awards. OLYMPIA released her second album, Flamingo, in 2019, “a life-affirming collection of electro-pop … you get the sense that her career is about to take off” (STACK).
