JaySounds teams up for round two with innovative Sydney rapper Kwame for their latest banger ‘Legacy’. After receiving international success with their previous collab, ‘Crooked’, the dynamic pair have regrouped to turn out three minutes of heavy hitting sounds, intensified vocals and thunderous drops.

“I’ve always wanted to merge my ‘Warehouse Bass’ style with authentic hip-hop elements,” said JaySounds. “Kwame’s ability made this very achievable. To me, Kwame is one of the most forward thinking, innovative, and driven artists to come out of Australia. We were stoked with the response and support on our first tune – so we decided it was time for round two!”

Forged in the darkest corners of Sydney’s late night, JaySounds signature sonics have morphed into a genre in its own right. With a menacing low-end take on house music – affectionately known as warehouse bass – Jay has turned his idols into his peers, with the likes of Don Diablo, Tiesto, Tommy Trash, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Ephwurd and Dyro amongst his loudest supporters.

After closing out 2017 with his Nightfall EP, a hostile mix of cinematic soundscapes and aggressive bass lines, Jay’s assault on house music has been unrelenting. In stark contrast of dance music’s overnight sensations, JaySounds is a seasoned DJ as much as he is a producer. Cutting his teeth in the side rooms of Sydney clubs in the King Cross glory days, Jay now masters his craft across Australia’s biggest dance floors.
