Unbreakable Touring and Four Tone Artists are proud to announce the long awaited return of Robert DeLong to Australian shores.

The announce follows the recent addition of DeLong to Perth’s multi-event Ice Cream Factory Summer Festival, with a headline spot supported by The Kite String Tangle and Young Franco. Three additional shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne round out his 2019 itinerary.

In 2013, Robert DeLong quickly rose to prominence in Australia with his debut album, Just Movement, which included hit single, ‘Global Concepts’. The platinum-selling song shot to the top of the charts in Australia and landed at #45 on triple j’s Hottest 100 chart for the year.

DeLong followed up with his sophomore album, In The Cards, in 2015. In The Cards yielded a string of fan favorite singles such as ‘Long Way Down’ and ‘Don’t Wait Up’, which received high triple j and commercial radio rotation.

DeLong’s last visits to Australia included festival performances at Splendour in the Grass and Groove in the Moo. Since then, he has also toured around the globe and performed at many notable festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Life is Beautiful, Outside Lands, Reading and Leeds, Rock Werchter, Osheaga, Rock’n’Heim and many more.

See You In The Future, the latest EP released October 19, 2018 by DeLong, includes a collaboration with K.Flay for their bombastic tune, ‘Favorite Color is Blue’. He also joined forces with producer extraordinaire, Ricky Reed [Twenty One Pilots, Galantis] for ‘First Person on Earth’. At the end of 2018, DeLong embarked on a national tour with AJR, and spent a lot of 2019 writing and recording in the studio, and headlining the See You In The Future Tour with a new aesthetic and new instruments, including the show-stopping laser harp!

Robert DeLong has been eager to return to Australia and joyfully states,

Raised in the suburbs of Seattle, headed south to Los Angeles with a toolbox of Wii-motes, keyboards, and drums to develop a live rock show that CMJ Magazine claims worthy of “an 8-bit warrior, seamlessly creating danceable electro beats with his Wii remote and Sega Genesis controller on par with the Chemical Brothers”.

DeLong began performing his genre-bending songs in 2010, where he uses MIDI interfaces, a full drum set, drum pads, keyboards, laptops and game controllers, looping his music to fuse electronic dance beats with rock ‘n’ roll melodies.
