Buckle your seats, Kira Puru has today unveiled the rambunctious video for Flythe latest single from her self-titled EP released September via New Tribe Music.  The visual accompaniment precedes headline shows this November and December in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, in addition to sets at Spilt Milk and HyperFest.

Directed by Josh Harris (Gang of Youths, E^ST, Middle Kids, Odette), the video is a steamy 90’s throwback affair captured in black and white and filmed inside a retired Boeing-747. On the video Puru offered,

“Fly is arguably the biggest and sexiest tune on the KP EP and though I don’t ever need encouragement, I felt this justified the type of flamboyant, high-key behaviour that is: throwing a big ol’ lit party on a Boeing 747.”

Today, Puru also shares an impressive line up of special guests to accompany her on the road this November and December.  Sydney singer, producer and multi instrumentalist Sparrows will be the main support in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, with Your Girl Pho taking the reins with her fizzing, elasticated blend of neo-soul, electro-pop and RnB elements in Perth.  DVNA will open in Brisbane, XIRA in Sydney, Sannia for the first Melbourne show, Ro the second Melbourne show and Brontë in Perth.

Produced by Jon Hume (Dean Lewis, Sofi Tukker, Matt Corby, E^ST), the candid and grooved-filled Kira Puru EP further highlights the rise of a uniquely human star. The release features the hard-hitting Molotov which has surpassed 1.1 million streams and the hypnotic Tension which is over 1.6 million streams and demonstrates an exhilarating evolution for one of Australia’s most important voices.

Renowned for delivering dynamic and spirited live performances, in the past year Puru has performed two headline sold-out shows, sets at Listen Out, Curve Ball and Groovin The Moo; and was invited to perform as special guest for The Rubens and Vera Blue. 2019 will welcome performances at Mountain Sounds and A Festival Called Panama.  Most recently, the reigning queen of pop delivered one of the most rousing triple j Like A Version’s of the year with a cover of Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F).
