Romantic synth soul duo Kllo heads back to Australia from a run of shows in the U.S. to play a very special one-off show in Melbourne. Kllo, with a newly formed live band, will showcase their fusion of warm R&B vocals and electro-pop for an exciting debut performance in Elisabeth Murdoch Hall.

A collaboration between Melbourne cousins Chloe Kaul and Simon Lam, Kllo first emerged in 2014 with a sound beyond their years, fusing elements of electro-pop, R&B, U.K. garage and two-step with modern sensibilities and wide-eyed sincerity.

‘Kaul’s lush voice over a downtempo piano ballad as she details a failed romance that was once alive with possibility.’ Pitchfork (speaking of the duo’s single ‘Potential’)

The duo’s first two EPs, Cusp and Well Worn, have amassed millions of streams, making them a fixture on festival stages across Australia (Bigsound, Splendour in the Grass) and Europe (Great Escape, Primavera Sound). In 2017 Kllo released full-length debut, Backwater, a refined, coming- of-age account. The album depicts inner adjustment to outer change: being far from home, treading through uncharted territory while yearning for the comforts of the familiar.

Don’t miss Kllo’s mix of smooth electro-pop beats and mellow R&B vocals in the intimacy of Elisabeth Murdoch Hall this June.
