It is with mixed emotion that Laneway Festival announces that Jorja Smith has cancelled her appearance at the Adelaide, Melbourne and Fremantle legs of the Laneway Festival. Jorja has (deservedly) been nominated for a Grammy Award in the prestigious Best New Artist category and will be attending the awards, which clash with the second weekend of the Laneway Festival’s national run.  We wish Jorja all the best at the Grammys and look forward to her scheduled performances in Auckland, Brisbane and Sydney, as well as a new, special headline performance at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on Friday 1 February. Tickets go on-sale 10am Friday 18 January, go to lanewaypresents.comfor more details. Festival refunds for the Adelaide, Melbourne and Fremantle events only are open now, click here to request a refund with moshtix before 10.00am (AEDT) Wednesday 16 January 2019. Head to our website here for further details.

We are excited to announce that Melbourne’s THE SMITH STREET BAND will be joining Laneway Festival in all five Australian cities. The beloved Melbourne band’s third album More Scared Of You Than You Are Of Me was released in 2017, on the band’s very own label, Pool House Records, and debuted at #3 on the ARIA Album Chart, with album tracks taking out three places in triple j’s Hottest 100. We’re expecting a preview of new music, due out in the coming months.
