Jungle today share a first-of-its-kind interactive video for their new single ‘Back On 74’, the latest track to preview the British production duo’s fourth album Volcano which follows on 11 August on Caiola Records/AWAL. The video is the latest drop in Jungle’s creative collaboration series with WeTransfer, and is available for 14 days exclusively at Jungle’s dedicated site within WeTransfer. It will be further promoted via WeTransfer’s global landing page, which is used by over 80 million monthly users across 190 countries around the world.
‘Back On 74’ is the final taste of things to come before the release of the highly-anticipated Volcano. The track combines lush soulful melodies with a backdrop that sees Jungle exploring the boundaries of their sound to create something uplifting and free-spirited, and provides a juxtaposition to previous singles ‘I’ve Been In Love’ (ft. Channel Tres), ‘Dominoes’ and ‘Candle Flame’ (ft. Erick The Architect), all of which received widespread support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, Radio 2 and Apple Music 1.
While ‘Back On 74’ continues Jungle’s unique visual aesthetic with its intricately crafted choreography, audacious one-take photography and joyous merger between music and movement – it’s a film that breaks new ground within the music video world, thanks to the collaboration with WeTransfer’s in-house Creative Studio and Emmy Award-winning Nexus Studios. The ‘Back On 74’ video is presented as a virtual art gallery, and each piece of art displayed can be downloaded by viewers in real-time. When an artwork is downloaded, it’s instantly replaced by a random choice of 10,000 other unique works, all of which were created by Jungle’s J Lloyd. As a result, the ‘Back On 74’ will constantly evolve with every watch and each interaction will again alter the experience for subsequent viewers.
When fans download a piece of artwork from the film, they also access the opportunities to win one of 100+ tickets for a show of their choice from Jungle’s upcoming European and North American headline tour.
‘Back On 74’ was directed by J Lloyd and Charlie Di Placido, produced by WeTransfer, and was filmed at London’s legendary Alexandra Palace. The video represents the final drop from the Jungle and WeTransfer creative collaboration series that has previewed the release of Volcano. The project has been designed to enable Jungle to connect with their fans directly by offering a range of exclusive content from WeTransfer for free download. These have included backgrounds, wallpapers and ringtones for mobile phones; music stems for a remix competition; and a zine featuring behind-the-scenes material.
Anticipation for the Volcano album was recently heightened with the news that the full-length film, ‘Volcano, The Motion Picture’ will premiere exclusively on the Jungle fanclub from 11 August (fans can access the film HERE). A range of Volcano physical album formats, bundles and merch designs are also available HERE.
Jungle will perform to a total of more than 190,000 people across their 2023 tour, which starts with a landmark London festival headline set at All Points East on 26 August. They will then take their euphoric, full-live band show across America and Europe on a tour which includes numerous arena dates.
Jungle are lifelong friends from Shepherd’s Bush, London. Their self-titled breakthrough debut album became an instant classic, leading to a Mercury Prize nomination, which they followed with the album For Ever before amplifying their success with Loving In Stereo – all contributing to a total of over a billion streams to date. Their extended live band has made them firm festival favourites, headlining Wilderness and South Facing as well as drawing huge crowds as far afield as Coachella and Lollapalooza Brazil, while headline shows have included Alexandra Palace and multiple nights at the O2 Academy Brixton. Their visionary stylised and choreographed videos are also a major aspect of Jungle’s artistic identity, most notably with the ambitious visual narrative that spanned every track on Loving In Stereo.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
