Bad news first… it is with great regret we announce that Andy Black has cancelled his trip and will no longer be making it to Download 2019 …. A message from Andy…

“Due to scheduling conflicts, I will not be able to make the trip to Australia as planned. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused but I have every intention to reschedule a tour and see all of you as soon as possible.”

The good news is… Californian rock outfit New Years Day will be coming to Australia for the first time to fill that slot!

Conceived by powerhouse frontwoman Ashley Costello, an everyday teen consumed with the music and imagery of trailblazing heroes like My Chemical Romance, Marilyn Manson, and AFI, while equally obsessed with the grand theatricality of the macabre. New Years Day is her creative vehicle through blood, sweat, tears, and makeup brushes, clutching and clawing forward with a tight grip on creative control through early line-ups, demos, and an obscure debut.

Crossing genres, their pop-punk tunes have gained them fans across the globe, with Costello providing the perfect inspiration to any young woman who wants to make a mark in the heavy music scene. We welcome them to Download 2019!
