Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: SAINt JHN ‘Roses’ – ‘Roses’ by SAINt JHN holds the top spot on the ARIA Singles Chart for a second week. After holding #1 in the UK for two weeks, it dropped back to #2 last week, being replaced by The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’, the song it displaced from the top.

#3: Drake ‘Tootsie Slide’ – Canadian star Drake returns to the Top 50 with ‘Tootsie Slide’. The rapper’s 13th Top Ten single is his first chart entry as a lead artist since ‘Money In The Grave’ (#7 Jul. ’19). The song went viral on TikTok before its official release, when it became the soundtrack to a dance challenge on the social media platform. Earlier in 2020, Drake featured on the Future single ‘Life Is Good’ (#11 Jan. ’20).

#19: Megan Thee Stallion ‘Savage’ – In its second week in the Top 50, Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Savage’ jumps up four places to crack the Top 20. ‘Savage’ also became viral thanks to a dance challenge on TikTok with users dancing to the song’s chorus.

#24: Doja Cat ‘Boss B**ch’ – While her ‘Say So’ single sits in the Top Ten for a sixth week at #7, Doja Cat jumps up 22 spots to #24 with ‘Boss B**ch’. The track was released on Birds of Prey: The Album (#9 Feb. ’20). It’s the first song from the album to appear in the Top 50.

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Violent Soho ‘Everything Is A-OK’ – Releasing their fifth album, Everything Is A-OK, Brisbane band Violent Soho grab their second #1 on the ARIA Charts. It’s the follow-up to Waco, which became their first #1 in March 2016. Their previous album also earned Violent Soho their first two ARIA Awards – winning Best Group and Best Rock Album in 2016. Everything Is A-OK is also #1 on the ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart this week.

Everything Is A-OK is the fourth Australian #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2020.

#3: Kerser ‘Roll The Dice’ – Kerser takes out his seventh Top Ten as he returns with Roll The Dice. The Sydney rapper’s ninth studio album debuts one spot below his all-time chart peak set by previous album Lifestyle (#2 Mar. ’19). Every one of Kerser’s albums since S.C.O.T. (#5 Nov. ’13) has debuted in the Top Ten.

#10: Elton John ‘Diamonds’ – Elton John’s hits collection Diamonds moves back into the Top Ten for a 28th week. In the last week, the music icon hosted and performed in the live-streamed event Concert For America, as well as launching a $1 million COVID-19 emergency fund.

#12: All Time Low ‘Wake Up, Sunshine’ – American band All Time Low score their sixth Top 50 entry in Australia with Wake Up, Sunshine. The Baltimore group’s eighth album comes three years on from Last Young Renegade (#5 Jun. ’17). The track ‘Monsters’ features blackbear, who had a Singles Chart hit last year with ‘Hot Girl Bummer’ (#8 Oct. ’19).
