Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Billie Eilish ‘Bad Guy’ – After storming to the top of the chart last week, Billie Eilish holds #1 for a second week with ‘Bad Guy’. The American has eight tracks in this week’s Top 50, including two more in the Top Ten: ‘Bury A Friend’ (#8) and ‘Wish You Were Gay’ (#9).

#2: Lil Nas X ‘Old Town Road’ – In its third week in the Top 50, Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’ jumps up 16 spots to crack the Top Ten for the first time. The single is currently #1 in the US.

#5: Khalid ‘Talk’ – As well as debuting at #2 on the Albums Chart with Free Spirit, Khalid has experienced a spike on the Singles Chart. The American singer-songwriter has five tracks in the Top 50, with three of them taking out new peaks: ‘Talk’ (#5 Apr. ’19), ‘My Bad’ (#14 Apr. ’19) and the debut ‘Outta My Head’ (#20 Apr. ’19).

#10: Marshmello Feat. Chvrches ‘Here With Me’ – Climbing up eleven spots to #10 with ‘Here With Me’, American DJ/producer Marshmello takes out his fifth Top Ten entry on the ARIA Singles Chart.

#18: Blackpink ‘Kill This Love’ (Debut) – K-pop group Blackpink make their ARIA Singles Chart Top 50 debut with the EP Kill This Love. It’s the quartet’s third EP and second sung in Korean. Between Square Up, their last EP, and Kill This Love, Blackpink released their debut album, Blackpink In Your Area.

#1: Billie Eilish ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ – American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish holds #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for a second week with her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. The release has also hit #1 in the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand and many other markets.

#2: Khalid ‘Free Spirit’ (Debut) – Khalid claims a new Albums Chart peak with Free Spirit. The American singer-songwriter’s second studio album comes 18 months on from debut, American Teen (#13 Nov. ’17). Between albums Khalid released the EP Suncity (#9 Oct. ’18). Free Spirit features the tracks ‘Better’ (#6 Oct. ’18), ‘Saturday Nights’ (#27 Jan. ’19), ‘Talk’ (#5 Apr. ’19), ‘My Bad’ (#14 Apr. ’19) and ‘Outta My Head’ (#20 Apr. ’19). All five tracks appear in this week’s Singles Chart Top 50.

#12: Russell Morris ‘Black And Blue Heart’ (Debut) – ARIA Hall Of Fame member Russell Morris hits the chart for the first time in four years with Black And Blue Heart. Morris’ first album since Red Dirt Red Heart (#21 Nov. ’15) was produced by Bernard Fanning and Nick DiDia. It returns Morris to the Top Ten for the first time since Van Diemen’s Land (#4 Apr. ’14).

#15: Brooks & Dunn ‘Reboot’ (Debut) – American country duo Brooks & Dunn reimagine some of their classics on Reboot. The pair’s first studio release since Cowboy Town (#23 Mar. ’08) features collaborations with a host of fellow country artists including Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, Luke Combs, Midland and Kacey Musgraves.

#21: Periphery ‘Periphery IV: Hail Stan’ (Debut) – Prog metal band Periphery take out a sixth Top 50 entry with Periphery IV: Hail Stan. It’s the American quintet’s sixth studio album and the follow-up to Periphery III: Select Difficulty (#8 Aug. ’16), which gave them their highest chart peak to date.
