Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Lil Nas X ‘Old Town Road’ – Lil Nas X notches up his sixth week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Old Town Road’. June sees the release of the American rapper’s debut EP, 7.

#4: Lewis Capaldi ‘Someone You Loved’ – Continuing its climb up the Singles Chart, ‘Someone You Loved’ by Lewis Capaldi moves up one spot to a new peak at #4. It’s the track’s tenth week in the Top 50.

#6: Ed Sheeran Feat. Chance the Rapper & PnB Rock ‘Cross Me’ (Debut) – After hitting #1 with ‘I Don’t Care’, Ed Sheeran scores a second Top Ten entry from his forthcoming album with ‘Cross Me’. Featuring American rappers Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock, the track is the latest from Sheeran’s No. 6 Collaborations Project album, which is set for release in July.

#9: Tyler, The Creator ‘Earfquake’ – A week on from having four tracks in the chart, Tyler, The Creator enters the Singles Chart Top Ten for the first time as he hits #9 with ‘Earfquake’.

#12: 5 Seconds Of Summer ‘Easier’ (Debut) – Sydney’s 5 Seconds Of Summer return with ‘Easier’, the first single from their upcoming fourth studio album. The track is the band’s second to chart in 2019, after they peaked at #38 in February with ‘Lie To Me’. They also hit #13 as the featured artists on The Chainsmokers’ ‘Who Do You Love’ (#13 Mar. ’19).

#1: Billie Eilish ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ – After four weeks at #2, Billie Eilish’s debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? returns to #1 on the Albums Chart for a fourth week.

#4: Soundtrack ‘Aladdin’ (Debut) – The soundtrack to the live action version of Aladdinhits the ARIA Albums Chart a week after the film’s release. A remake of the 1992 animated film, the new version features Will Smith as the Genie (played in the original by Robin Williams). The original Aladdin soundtrack peaked at #15 in June 1993.

#6: Cast Of Rocketman ‘Rocketman (Music From The Motion Picture)’ (Debut) – The music of Elton John gets revisited on the soundtrack to biopic Rocketman. The album includes 22 tracks performed by the cast, led by Taron Egerton, who pays the iconic British singer-songwriter. Egerton and John duet on the newly penned track ‘(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again’.

#8: Elton John ‘Diamonds’ – On the back of the release of Rocketman, the Elton John hits collection Diamonds jumps up 14 spots to claim a new peak at #8. The 2017 release previously peaked at #13. Elton John’s classic 1973 album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road has returned to the chart this week at #40.

#22: Amyl And The Sniffers ‘Amyl And The Sniffers’ (Debut) – Melbourne band Amyl And The Sniffers make their ARIA Charts debut with their self-titled debut album. Prior to the LP, the quartet had released two EPs and a handful of singles, starting in 2016.
