Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: 5 Seconds Of Summer ‘Youngblood’ – Moving up two spots with ‘Youngblood’, Sydney’s 5 Seconds Of Summer become the first Australian act to hit #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart in almost two years. The single is the band’s second #1 on the ARIA Charts, having topped the chart for a week in March 2014 with ‘She Looks So Perfect’. The last Australian single to top the ARIA Charts was The Veronicas’ ‘In My Blood’, which spent two weeks in the top spot in July 2016.

#8: Amy Shark ‘I Said Hi’ – Holding its place in the Top Ten for a second week, Amy Shark’s ‘I Said Hi’ moves up one spot to a new peak this week at #8.

#10: Anne-Marie ‘2002’ – Jumping up two spots to #10, Anne-Marie’s ‘2002’ cracks the Top Ten for the first time. It’s the English artist’s third Top Ten entry, having previously charted with ‘Alarm’ (#7 Aug. ’16) and the Marshmello collaboration ‘Friends’ (#4 Apr. ’18).

#21: Billie Eilish Feat Khalid ‘Lovely’ – In its third week in the Top 50, ‘Lovely’, the chart debut appearance for Californian singer-songwriter Billie Eilish, moves up 13 spots to claim a new peak at #21.

#26: King Princess ‘1950’ – King Princess’ ‘1950’ hits a new peak of #26 after a climb of six spots. It’s the seventh week the track has been in the chart.

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Post Malone ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’ – After two weeks further down the Top Five, Post Malone returns to #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for a second week with Beerbongs & Bentleys. The American rapper’s previous album, Stoney, has this week moved up three spots to #17.

#2: Courtney Barnett ‘Tell Me How You Really Feel‘ (Debut) – Courtney Barnett picks up a new peak on the ARIA Albums Chart with Tell Me How You Really Feel. The Melbourne singer-songwriter’s second solo album comes three years on from debut Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit (#4 Mar. ’15). In 2017 Barnett collaborated with American singer-songwriter Kurt Vile on the album Lotta Sea Lice (#5 Oct. ’17).

#4: Five Finger Death Punch ‘And Justice For None’ (Debut) – With their seventh album, American metal band Five Finger Death Punch snares a second Top Ten entry on the ARIA Albums Chart. And Justice For None is the follow-up to the Las Vegas group’s Got Your Six (#3 Sept. 15). They scored a chart entry in 2017 with the compilation A Decade Of Destruction (#30 Dec. ’17).

#6: BTS ‘Love Yourself: 轉 ‘Tear’ (Debut) – K-pop group BTS take out a new Albums Chart peak with Love Yourself:  ‘Tear’. The album is the septet’s third Korean language album and their sixth album overall. The album’s lead single, ‘Fake Love’, has debuted at #36 on this week’s Singles Chart. BTS first appeared on the Albums Chart with the EP Love Yourself:  ‘Her’ (#8 Sept. ’17).

#9: Soundtrack ‘Deadpool 2’ (Debut) – The soundtrack to the second film in the Deadpool series makes its chart debut. The album includes the new Celine Dion track ‘Ashes’, as well as classic tracks by Dolly Parton, Air Supply, Pat Benatar and more. The soundtrack to the first Deadpool movie peaked #18 in February 2016.
