Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: George Ezra ‘Shotgun’ – George Ezra holds #1 for a second week on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Shotgun’.

#6: Marshmello & Bastille ‘Happier’ – A new peak for Marshmello and Bastille’s ‘Happier’, moving up two spots to #6 in its sixth week in the Top 50.

#7: Lil Peep & XXXTentacion ‘Falling Down’ (Debut) – Late rappers Lil Peep and XXXTentacion hit the chart with posthumous single ‘Falling Down’. Before his death in November 2017, Lil Peep recorded his part of the track in a session with iLoveMakonnen, who later put the song online as a tribute. XXXTentacion heard the tribute and added new parts to it. XXXTentacion was killed in June 2018. It’s Lil peep’s first appearance in the ARIA Top 50 and XXXTentacion’s fourth (and third Top Ten).

#11: Eminem ‘Killshot’ (Debut) – Eminem takes out a twelfth Top 50 entry for 2018 with ‘Killshot’. The track is a diss track released in response to Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘Rap Devil’ (#45 Sept. ’18). The new entry comes three weeks on from Eminem entering the ARIA Top 50 with eleven tracks from #1 album Kamikaze.

#12: Khalid ‘Better’ – After debuting at #15 last week, Khalid’s latest single, ‘Better’, moves up three to a new peak of #12.

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Eminem ‘Kamikaze’ – Kamikaze, Eminem’s ninth #1 in the ARIA Albums Chart, holds the top spot for a fourth consecutive week.

#4: Slash ‘Living The Dream’ (Debut) – Guitar hero Slash releases his third collaboration with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, Living The Dream. The album becomes the third consecutive Top Ten debut for the Guns N’ Roses guitarist and the group, having previously charted with Apocalyptic Love (#2 May ’12) and World On Fire (#2 Sept. ’14).

#6: Brockhampton ‘Iridescence’ (Debut) – American hip hop collective Brockhampton make their Top 50 debut with Iridescence. It’s their fourth studio album, having released the first three –SaturationSaturation II and Saturation III – all in 2017. The group played a number of shows in Australia this week.

#9: Thundamentals ‘I Love Songs’ (Debut) – Blue Mountains trio Thundamentals take out a third Top Ten with fifth album I Love Songs. The hip hop group previously hit the Top Ten with So We Can Remember (#3 May ’14) and Everyone We Know (#2 Feb. ’17).

#10: Dead Letter Circus ‘Dead Letter Circus’ (Debut) – Brisbane’s Dead Letter Circus score a sixth Top 50 entry with their self-titled fourth album. The album is the group’s fourth Top Ten and comes three years on from Aesthesis (#2 Aug. ’15). Between studio albums, Dead Letter Circus released the acoustic album The Endless Mile (#17 May ’17).
