One More Week Until
Ausmusic T-Shirt Day 2021
.
.
Ausmusic T-Shirt Day is now just seven sleeps away, so get your Aussie t-shirts ready and crank up the fundraising as we count down to our favourite day of the year!
Now’s the time to really ramp up your fundraising efforts and ask your friends / family / neighbour / postie to get onboard and make a donation to your fundraising page. If you need some inspiration for what to do, check out our Top 3 Fundraising Tips or see what others have done via our FAQ page on the website.
If you’re not fundraising yourself, you can always choose a team to donate to, so find one of the many already set up here including Cold Chisel, Country Music Association of Australia, The Angels and Turramurra Music, Sennheiser, The People Vs, Team CrewCare and of course Support Act, to name just a few!
We have lots of exciting activities taking place on the day that you can take part in.
At 12.45pm and 5pm, Mikey Cahill, aka DJ Joey Lightbulb, will be hosting an Aussie music quiz on our Facebook page. This will be heaps of fun with special guests, so get your best minds ready to take part. The quiz will be run via Kahoot, so be sure to download the app or load the web page beforehand.
Thanks to Sounds Australia, music trivia games will be also available to access via Kahoot any time during the day so you and your company / team / friends can play along whenever you like. Just click here to access further information and instructions.
At 5pm, Support Act mental health advocate and musician, Nathan Cavaleri, will be taking to Twitch for a couple of hours of tunes and chat to take you through to the evening. Following that, fellow artists Seth Sentry, CMillerMusic and Fish In A Birdcage will also be streaming special shows, so check out their channels to watch.
At 7pm, head over to TikTok to watch the specially curated Isol-Aid festival featuring Lime Cordiale (@limecordiale), Carla Wehbe (@carlawehbe), Ashwarya (@ashwaryamusic) and Isaiah Firebrace (@isaiahfirebrace). Just visit each artist’s page to watch and make a donation via the donate button.
If you’re looking for some great tunes to get your own Ausmusic T-Shirt Day party started, you can also choose from a great selection of tracks from our Ambassadors and Champions on Spotify and Apple Music’s specially curated playlists.
Whatever you’re doing, don’t forget to get your favourite Aussie music t-shirt on and share the love on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok using the hashtag#ausmusictshirtday and tagging Support Act, triple j and ARIA*. You can get your whole team in for a pic using this photo montage maker or even use our pre-written social media content to make things nice and easy.
Thanks again for your support and we can’t wait to see how you’re celebrating this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day!

Why support SUPPORT ACT?
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the time and care you put into supporting struggling musicians and for giving us a chance to feel like we are enough and ensuring that help is available.
“I know that money doesn’t define your self worth as a person, but the feeling of receiving the Crisis Relief Grant truly gave me a feeling that I am cared about and supported in what I have chosen to do in my life during a time when it felt like everything was taken away, and it really restored a lot of hope that I didn’t realise I was losing.
“Thank you for all the work you do for this organisation and for the amazing workshops, events, information and help you have available for people in the music industry.
“You are one of the first places I go to when I need support for things like my mental health and wellbeing and I have always had a positive experience.”
Poppy, musician

Support Act is the music industry’s charity, delivering crisis relief services to artists, artist managers, crew and music workers as a result of ill health, injury, a mental health problem or some other crisis (such as COVID-19) that impacts on their ability to work in music.
It was established in 1997 with support from founding members ARIA PPCA and APRA AMCOS, and incorporated as a public company limited by guarantee on 7 August 1997. It was granted charity status in 2000.
The Support Act Wellbeing Helpline is a free, confidential 24/7 counselling service that is available to anyone working in Australian music or the performing arts. It is supplemented by our Manager Support Hotline and our First Nations Dedicated Support Line. All services can be accessed by calling 1800 959 500.
The Resources page on our website provides evidence-based information, articles, videos, plus app and book recommendations, specifically curated for those who work in music. It’s also where you can access our prevention, education and training programs including Mental Health First Aid, and our web series including Tune Ups, On My Mind and Soundcheck.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
