Multi-platinum selling Australia trio PNAU today unveil the amazingly psychedelic video for their latest single ‘Changa’, plus release five new remixes of the title track from their latest critically acclaimed album. Today PNAU also announce new Australian tour dates and will be taking their electrifying live show to Perth, Newcastle, Sydney and Melbourne this July, before heading to Byron Bay to play the sold-out Splendour In The Grass festival.

Directed by Ben Kutsko from Miniac Films, the ‘Changa’ video sees the creative direction of PNAU’s Nick Littlemore brought to life and again stars vocalist and dancer Kira Divine. Heightening the aesthetic from previous releases ‘Chameleon’ and ‘Go Bang’, the creative direction for ‘Changa’ was to explore the conscious and unconscious world of DMT – a journey back and forth through slowed reality to hazy deep dream state, through to a full blown visual collision of mind and body. For this clip, Kutsko intensified the recognisable neon PNAU aesthetic with his bespoke ‘datamoshing’ techniques, which along with multiple in camera tricks used during filming, creates a startlingly vivid and intense visual.

‘Changa’ is the latest single lifted from PNAU’s album of the same name, following the triple platinum, ARIA Award-winning smash ‘Chameleon’ and the double platinum ‘Go Bang’, which is currently sitting at No. 1 on the Dance airplay chart in the US.

Accompanying the release are five new ‘Changa’ remixes from Pirupa, Jack Beats, JNTHN STEIN, George Michelle and Blanke.

A name familiar to anyone with an ear to the underground is Pirupa. Cataloguing releases over the last 10 years for Defected, Desolat, Suara, Relief and elrow, his track record is undisputed. Consistency has been key to Pirupa’s highly regarded reputation, whose remix sees him isolate the ‘Changa’ vocal and pushes us into a hyped up tribal workout.

Having a certain renaissance is Jack Beats whose remix leans on that nostalgic piano riff, a classic move made prominent by Niall Dailly and Ben Geffin in the duo’s (now solo) early 2010 work. Currently making a solid go of things in the US with releases on Skrillex’s OWSLA and AC Slater’s Night Bass, Jack Beats get it lit with an unmistakable drop. Fabric illuminati in the house people.

Team Supreme founding member JNTHN STEIN goes in with a heavy 118 BPM break, vocal chops and a hover to give you goosebumps. Yes it’s distorted, yes it’s on purpose. Shut the vape gate, this is pure A E S T H E T I C. With writing credits with the likes of A$AP Ferg, Brasstracks and KRNE, not to mention Team Supreme members Mr. Carmack and Djemba Djemba, keep an eye out for new JNTHN STIEN material in June 2018.

There’s not a lot of digital footprints around George Michelle, besides a Red Bull Music interview unearthing his post-punk record label Burning Rose in late 2017. Based in Sydney, George Michelle is the production alias of Maurice Santiago, who is also a member of post punk band Death Bells. With most releases only available on vinyl and Bandcamp, his debut LP ‘Gang Signs for Outsiders’ has recently been released on streaming platforms and is a dramatic take on the industrial rave dancefloors of the late ‘90s.

Earning notoriety in the bass community is Blanke. Picking up a recent release on Borgore’s Buygore and Zed’s Dead’s Deadbeats, the young Australian is following a certain trajectory into this summer’s festival circuit having completed 15 shows nationally and key supports for RL Grime, Carnage, Yellow Claw, Kayzo, Jauz and Slushii.
