How would you describe your sound? Why do you think people resonate with your music?
Empowering, dreamy, slightly nostalgic with a hint of spice.
I think people resonate with my music because they know what it’s like to feel they’re in an emotional ditch and they need that 1 song to get them out of it. I like to think I’m creating a space to help people get out of it. Whether it be a breakup, a bad day, a bad job. I have created a space where it’s time for them to be their priority. They are the most important thing when they listen to my songs.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
There are so many artists that inspire my so much.
Sometimes I want to give a real niche answer but at the end of the day it’s always going to be Lady Gaga.
Who she is as a human is so beautiful but she inspires me to try new things and to not stick to 1 genre. She’s constantly evolving and trying new themes, job roles and fashion. I can get so stuck in my head but she’s always my point of reference when I tell myself I can wear what I want to wear or explore new genres in my music.
She’s a queen and does what she wants and I inspire to be that unapologetic.

Your new single ‘I Think I’m Falling’ has just been released! Describe its origin and evolution. 
Yes! I feel like I’ve taken a big breath and finally exhaled with this release.
It’s been a long time coming. ‘I think I’m falling’ was written a good year before it was decided to be released. It was written in a difficult time in my life, I had a lot of changes happening and leaving my old management/label.
It took me a while to heal so I needed to wait till now where I am in a better place and ready to let myself out there.
The song was written with Chelsea Warner in our first session together. Even though I felt like poop on a stick, I wanted to get myself out of the ditch and write about something good happening in my life and this song just fell out so naturally and beautifully.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
hehe yes. I have taken a long time off so I have quite a few songs that are begging to be let out. It is still TBA, but i’m thinking some time mid next year!

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
Nothing has been announced as of yet, I’m still getting back into the groove of music again. I appreciate my fans for waiting for me and sticking around and I plan on giving them everything I have.
I’m looking forward to releasing more songs as an independent artist and exploring new themes in my music!
They can expect lots of new songs and hopefully soon we can all dance in a room together.

How has COVID affected you to date? What have you introduced to balance the losses from missed events?
Covid has taken me on a very weird, bumpy, exciting ride. Covid forced me to stop and find myself again. I met someone who I adore who I wouldn’t have found if I were still in the studio constantly.
I moved cities, I went from the bush to the beach. I became an independent artist which has been so liberating.
To balance losses I got myself the perfect job haha. Everyday get to focus on helping people express themselves how they like and feel good in their skin.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why? 
Troye Sivan. I just feel like it would be great. Australian Icon, Australian treasure.
I am also very much in love with his music right now. I can’t stop listening to it, it’s the only music I’m listening to right now. So I can’t think of any other person right now hahaha.

Do you have any long-term aspirations as a music artist? 
To succeed well in what I love doing the most, which is music. Play with musician and artists that I love and respect and grow my fan base.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
The best thing is people hearing me for the first time. I’m still a smaller artist and it brings me so much joy when someone walks up to me after the show letting me know it’s the first time hearing me and they enjoyed it.
Every little achievement has been a highlight. I’m so grateful for everything. But playing on triple j/radio for the first time was a moment.
