“It is clear these legendary musicians won’t stop playing to packed-out stadiums anytime soon.”  The Music

“That’s the sort of memory that lasts a lifetime.”  The Brisbane Times

Completing one of the most sought-after Australian tours of 2019, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS brought their Australia 2019 tour to a close last night in front of a record-breaking audience at Perth’s HBF Stadium.

The Chili Peppers have left fans and critics across the country in awe.

Those lucky enough to secure a ticket to one of the hottest tours of summer were served up a fresh and frenetic two-hour set each night.

A masterclass rundown of classic album tracks, top 10 hits, deep catalogue dips, impromptu jams, Pea poetry, handstands and classic covers of songs from the likes of The Stooges, Elvis Costello and Funkadelic, showcased the band’s superb musicianship and live show brilliance – all delivered with animated, enviable energy.

“Night after night, the band put together a completely fresh list of songs, ensuring there’s an energy and unpredictability to the live experience. You’d be surprised how rare that is.”  Double J

Last November, when RHCP announced their first Australian headline tour in more than 12 years tickets sold-out instantly.

The epic 2019 shows included a Hobart debut appearance and massive outdoor shows at Hope Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley, at Mt. Duneed Estate (presented in association with A Day on The Green), a sold-out Adelaide Superloop 500 Post Race Concert and an epic show at Perth’s HBF Park Stadium.

RHCP set new maximum ticket sales attendance records at all of those venues.

The closing show of the tour at Perth’s HBF Park Stadium set a new maximum attendance record of 32,932, eclipsing the venue record of 32,000 ticket sales previously held by Ed Sheeran and prior to that the 31,997 sales for Foo Fighters in 2015.

Tickets sales for RHCP’s 10-date Australian tour were in excess of 200,000 tickets with a gross approaching AUD $30 million dollars.

RHCP were joined on tour by very special guests George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, as well as local supports Maddy Jane and Slowly Slowly (at select shows).
