After releasing “Brain” feat. Lori late last month, REMI have returned today with a luscious video for the hip-hop love song. Enlisting cameos from close friends and collaborators, the film clip emerges as another dreamy addition to the “Brain” love story and arrives as the final chapter in Remi’s 7 Days of Love Making Through Song journey.
Draped in the finest fashions and set against a leafy, oasis backdrop, “Brain” becomes even more sensual when given the visual treatment. Directed by Barun Chatterjee, the film clip highlights untouchable purity that exists between two people in love, from candlelit baths to handwritten notes and surprise birthday events. Featuring a cast including long-term friend and stylist Ntombi Moyo as Remi’s sweetheart, alongside Remi’s other half Sensible J, collaborator Whosane and a close collection of friends, “Brain” continues to hypnotise fans nationwide with its velvety R&B rhythms, love-struck rhymes and romantic visual accompaniment.
Remi on the video: “Brain is about the fantasy world you create when you’re in love. Our director, Barun Chatterjee, depicted this perfectly. He begun by sourcing a beautiful art deco property, both gorgeous and secluded. He then hand picked the perfect players to create our dreamscape. The most important being our lead, Ntombi Moyo. We needed someone who could effortlessly command space and portray the motions and emotions of true love. Ntombi, apart from being the greatest stylist in the country, is also an up and coming actor. Both fields require attention to detail and versatility of style. It was a no brainer that she could bring our dreams to reality.”

The video arrives today in the midst of REMI’s headline tour. Having already played two sold out shows to their Darwin fans and hometown Melbourne crowd, REMI will head to Sydney’s Lansdowne Hotel this Friday November 22, before wrapping up the following week on November 29 at Brisbane’s Brightside. As their only headline shows of 2019, fans will be treated to the duo’s impressive discography, from the days of “Sangria” all the way to “5 A.M”, “Brain” and a teaser of what’s to come.
