Australian singer, songwriter and performer Sara Storer today releases her seventh studio album RAINDANCE. The ARIA award and 21 Golden Guitar award winning artist has recently signed with Universal Music Australia in a world-wide deal.

The first single, title-track Raindance, has been added across the board of country radio, hitting the Top 20 in this weeks Country Airplay Chart. The video clip for the song has recently been released.

Last month Sara travelled to the drought-stricken country town of Henty in NSW to film the video clip Raindance. The community gathered around to support the shoot with local business people, school children, families and even the fire brigade featured throughout as they depict the story of a modern-day community rain dance. Appropriately, on the day of release for the video clip, the little town of Henty received rain!

Speaking of the song, Sara shares “Raindance is a song of hope. It also sends a message of coming together through dance and song. Music is great therapy and while our nation waits on rain let’s dance and sing this drought away.”

Sara will head to the Northern Territory in August to perform 3 highly anticipated shows. It has been almost 5 years since she last appeared in Darwin, the city where she lived up until her move to Albury, NSW. Sara’s first stop on her Northern Territory run of dates is the Freedom Day Festival on Friday 23rd August in the Kalkaringi/Daguragu Community, located 480kms south west of Katherine. Gurindji Freedom Day is an annual commemoration of the Wave Hill Walk Off. Significantly, the school in the community of Kalkaringi is where Sara first taught after leaving university in the late 1990’s so it will be an opportunity for her to reconnect with many of her friends who still live in the area.

While in the NT Sara will also perform with Tom Curtain as part of his Katherine Outback Experience on Saturday 24th August show before heading to Darwin where she will headline at the Pint Club on Sunday 25th.

Sara has 3 album release gigs this week, including a home-town show in Albury.
