TFW the Splendour group chat lights up…. AND we’re back. The annual Splendour in the Grass festival weekender is calling! Start planning your escape from the same-same of everyday life and get hyped for all the magic that awaits at Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands from Friday 19 July to Sunday 21 July 2024, with onsite camping available from Wednesday 17 July.

You know that Splendour 2023 came, saw and conquered. It was a feast of the senses, serving up some of the year’s most memorable and iconic musical moments. In his debut Aussie appearance, Latin superstar J Balvin incited a reggaeton eruption in the Amphitheatre, while British MC Little Simz commanded the Mix Up Stage with her lyrical finesse, asserting future legend status in the process. Flume’s career-spanning set was a collab-heavy spectacle, loaded with deep cuts, musical masterpieces and surprise special guests including Tove Lo and Tkay Maidza. Not to mention Lizzo stopping the show to sign a girl’s butt mid-set! Somehow there was STILL more to uncover, from immersive art pop ups (enter Tupacman), queer dancefloor takeovers at Rainbow Bar and the exploration of traditional song, dance and stories of local First Nations Culture at the Ngarindindi Dance Ground – the Splendour site was a collision of music, art and culture.

Celebrating 22 years this year, Splendour in the Grass sits alongside Coachella, Glastonbury and Primavera as one of the world’s most celebrated festivals. It has shaped Australia’s music landscape as the largest multi-day camping festival in the Southern Hemisphere, setting the stage for our national music and arts culture. Global phenomenon Kanye West brought his beautiful, dark, twisted fantasy to 2011 in one of Splendour’s most highly anticipated sets, the same year that rock titans Coldplay returned to the festival after first headlining in 2003. In 2015, Mark Ronson enchanted us with Amy Winehouse’s isolated ‘Valerie’ vocals to close his set, while high-key empress Florence + the Machine delivered high drama in a spellbinding performance. Outkast’s explosive Amphitheatre takeover in 2014 is still regularly quoted for the historic coup it was, and who can forget 2019, when Childish Gambino took Splendour to church in what can only be described as a spiritual awakening… Who will be the Splendour icons to emerge in the next decade?

So pop the dates into your calendar, follow Splendour in the Grass on socials and be first in the know once your favourite, freshest and most exciting global acts are on lock.

And if you’ve been to Splendour five times or more? Sign up HERE to become a Splendour Member before 5pm on 30 January to guarantee tickets for you and your crew in the 2024 Splendour Member presale.

Lineup news is dropping soon.
