With the countdown to the Melbourne edition of Summer Sounds Festival well and truly underway, the event is stoked to announce a bunch of exciting additions to its already massive lineup…

Catch Alice Ivy’s signature eclectic pop as the multi-instrumentalist explodes onto the stage ahead of Ball Park Music + Thelma Plum. Or revel in the frantic yet taut rhythms of Melbourne locals, Smarts, as they strum their guitars and blow their sax for one huge night with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard + Tropical Fuck Storm.

Captivating and charismatic Didirri will join Bernard Fanning + Something For Kate for one magical night of legendary Australian music, alongside breakout pop powerhouse Mia Wray and those pipes! And critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Carla Geneve will surely enthral as she treats the audience to her insightful and touching tunes with Spacey Jane + RAT!Hammock on 3 & 4 Mar.
Expanding the series even further, Summer Sounds is also thrilled to reveal that a whole new show with Aussie icons Spiderbait + Jebediah + Bodyjar has been added to the festival bill. Punters will be treated to the musical prowess of national treasures Spiderbait as they take over the Sidney Music Myer Bowl on Fri 5 Mar alongside the roaring riffs and soaring pop hooks of Jebediah and the blistering high energy of punk legends Bodyjar. If their show at Summer Sounds Adelaide is anything to go by, this is going to be one heaving night of rock!
