Weeks after the release of their triumphant new album Stolen Diamonds and The Cat Empire continue to add new milestones to the many that feature across the band’s celebrated career.

Debuting at #4 on The ARIA album chart (their 6th top 10 album), at #1 on the AIR Charts, and at at #3 on the global albums charts for iTunes on release day, Stolen Diamonds has been winning strong praise from critics at home and overseas while being received with open arms by their many fans across the globe.

Along with their strategic single a month release plan new plays on global DSPs have seen the band generating 6.5 Million streams and counting, along with radio additions in Europe, Spain, U.S.A and Canada, while at home Stolen Diamonds was Album of The Week on Double J.

The band are currently half way through a headlining North American tour which will see them play to over 50, 000 people, including a sold out show at San Francisco’s infamous Filmore Theatre, plus multiple shows in Vancouver and Montreal where the band played their 15th show at The Metropolis earlier this month, taking out yet another venue record.

On release of the album Stolen Diamonds, select fans in Melbourne were surprised by Harry Angus and Felix Riebl from the band hand delivering their pre-ordered copies, the video of which you can see here has seen a healtly view rate amongst the band’s followers.

With momentum from the release of Stolen Diamonds continuing to grow, it seems there is no time for The Cat Empire to rest on their laurels. With a European tour being booked for June, the band have already started to figure their next moves to satiate their ever-growing community of fans, and whatever that plan may include you know it will be done with much dancing in the aisles, smiles on faces and fists raised triumphantly in the air!
