We are very excited to announce The Dead Love to the 123 Family!
Self-professed “shitty grunge” dudes The Dead Love are back with a brand new single and some exciting tour news. Following on from their summer anthem ‘Ordinary’ which garnered strong Spotify and triple j support,
“WAKE UP” premiered Wednesday night on triple j’s Home & Hosedwith Declan Byrne, a heartfelt and thought provoking rock song with a powerful message that shows a much deeper side to the Sydney band.
Frontman Stevie Knight explains the song’s meaning further.
“Wake Up’ is a reminder that violence towards women is still very much present among us and happening closer than you think. It’s a story of an ugly breakup turning physical, and touches on how some friends stayed silent even whilst others spoke up.“

The Dead Love are on track to release their new album, with the first two singles “Sugarcoat” and “Ordinary” already debuted by Richard Kingsmill on triple j, receiving multiple plays, which cemented the tracks as certified bangers in their live shows.
“Sugarcoat” gained the support of Spotify, being added to playlists Rock Out and Local Noise, and hit over 100K streams in the first month of release.
Single two, 2018’s “Ordinary” also received solid Spotify support, being added to playlists New Music Friday, Rock Out and Local Noise, cracking 7500 streams on its first day of release.
