Easter Long Weekend

The Drop

Australia’s newest touring festival, The Drop kicked off earlier this month, with its first show in Tweed Heads seeing a sold out crowd of around 4000 having a seriously good time. Next up on the touring schedule is Torquay, this Saturday 31 March alongside the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach, part of the Australian leg of the World Surf League Championship Tour.

The festival sees some of Australia’s hottest artists taking to the stage, including SAFIA, Dune Rats, San Cisco, Holy Holy and Ruby Fields, who was joined by surfing legend Steph Gilmore on her last song! Will this happen again this weekend? We’ll just have to wait and see.

I was so stoked with The Drop near Snapper. The line up of artists was insane, everyone was having a ball and I am pumped to come to Bells for the Torquay show on Easter Saturday.” Wayne “Rabbit” Bartholomew, founding partner

ENVIRONMENTAL SPIRIT

B-Alternative is a grassroots, environmental solutions group shaking things up at festivals, markets, schools and any event where the focus is shifting to a more sustainable, planet positive future!

They provide practical eco-friendly solutions to everyday living – sourcing and supplying truly compostable products and packaging, raising awareness through facilitated environmentally focused conversation in schools and social events and providing sustainable festival/event waste management.

At The Drop Festival 2018, they are supporting our aim to reduce landfill waste and getting us on board the zero waste movement. Their presence will remind us to party with the planet, not against it!
