Album Highlights: 

#1: Adele ‘30’ – 30 by Adele hits its fifth straight week at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Only Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR has spent more time at #1 during 2021, notching up eight weeks in the top spot between May and October. 30also maintains its position at #1 on the ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart for a fifth week.

#3: Paul Kelly ‘Paul Kelly’s Christmas Train’ – Paul Kelly’s Christmas Trainjumps from #5 to #3 in its fifth week on the chart. The ARIA Hall Of Fame member’s first festive season album is the highest placed Christmas album on this week’s chart. Kelly’s career retrospective Songs From The South: Paul Kelly’s Greatest Hits 1985-2019 has re-entered the chart this week at #42.

This week’s Top 50 also includes Michael Bublé’s Christmas (#5), Delta Goodrem’s Only Santa Knows (#12), Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas (#14), Norah Jones’ I Dream Of Christmas (#16) and Human Nature’s The Christmas Album (#49).

#22: Pink Floyd ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ – Pink Floyd’s classic 1973 album The Dark Side Of The Moon re-enters the chart at #22 on the back of strong vinyl sales this week – it’s 101st in the Australian Top 50. On the ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart, it’s jumped from #11 to #4.

#25: Something For Kate ‘Echolalia’ – Echolalia, the third studio album from Melbourne trio Something For Kate, re-enters the Albums Chart at #25 on the back of a vinyl reissue. Debuting at #2 in July 2001, the album went on to be accredited Platinum. On the back of the album, the band were nominated for six ARIA Awards that same year, including for Album Of The Year. Echolaliahas debuted at #2 on this week’s ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart.

#2: Mariah Carey ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ – After topping the Singles Chart in 2018, 2019 and 2020, Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ falls one short in its bid to make it four chart-topping years in a row.

LadBaby are aiming to become the first act in UK charts history to secure four consecutive Christmas #1 singles.
