Parkway Drive.

Metal is on the menu this week as Australian icons Parkway Drive debut at #1 with Ozzy Osbourne following closely at #2, while TikTok drives David Guetta and Bebe Rexha to the top of the Singles Chart.

Parkway Drive’s seventh studio album, Darker Still, marks the band’s third consecutive #1 album following 2018’s Reverence. On their success, the band said: “XXXXX”

ARIA CEO, Annabelle Herd, said: “Parkway Drive have an absolutely incredible track record of success in Australia and abroad, representing our country at the forefront of the global metal scene for nearly two decades now. Congratulations on behalf of all of ARIA for yet another #1.”

Ozzy Osbourne’s 13th studio album, Patient Number 9, comes in at #2 after 2020’s Ordinary Man peaked at #4 on the Albums Chart. The Prince of Darkness has only hit the ARIA Albums Top 10 twice, but as lead singer of Black Sabbath he racked up a string of Top 10 Albums in the 1970s, hitting the top spot in 1972 with Vol. 4.

David Guetta and Bebe Rexha’s I’m Good (Blue) takes #1 on the Singles Chart, following viral success on TikTok, after a clip of the track clocked over 500 million views on the platform. The single is Guetta’s first #1 since 2010’s Sweat, a collaboration with Snoop Dogg.

The track also marks Bebe Rexha’s first Australian #1, after 2017’s Meant To Be, a duet with American country legends Florida Georgia Line, peaked at #2.

Elsewhere on the Singles Chart, British superstar Lewis Capaldi arrives at #24 with Forget Me. His 2018 hit, Someone You Loved, spent more than two years on the chart, peaking at #4.
