We are suuuper stoked to bring you the brand new triple j Unearthed podcast – a one stop podcast shop for great Australian music discovery.
Every Friday, triple j Unearthed Music Director Dave Ruby Howe and legendary Social Media Manager Max Quinn (aka the voice of ‘Gren Drum’) will take you through the Unearthed Top 5, a breakdown of the five best independent Australian songs uploaded to triple j Unearthed that week. And unlike most podcasts, the triple j Unearthed podcast will play out full songs for maximum music discovery.
In today’s very first edition you’ll hear songs and stories around this week’s Unearthed Top 5: Holiday Party, Murray Darling, G Flip, Birdz and Bloods, which you can listen to RIGHT NOW.
And occasionally you’ll hear bonus instalments from regular Unearthed titles like our popular ‘If You Like’ series, where we recommend songs and artists making music reminiscent of your fave artists, as well as one off specials like ‘Forecast: 2018’, highlighting artists to watch in the year ahead.
To listen to the weekly triple j Unearthed podcast, head over to iTunes, the podcast app on your phone and wherever else you get your fave podcasts.

triple j – we love music
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
