ARIA double-platinum six-piece collective, Winston Surfshirt, today return to share their newest feel-good single, “All Of The Little Things” featuring Californian rapper Ramirez, out via Sweat It Out & BMG.

A slow-jam oozing 90s hip-hop DNA to its core, “All Of The Little Things” is grounded by Winston’s inimitable vocals, proclaiming invincibility in the throes of love. The warmth in the lyrics and admission of feelings are spun over a pronounced 90s backbeat, before a verse from Ramirez adds extra steez. Raised in San Francisco, and with his West Coast rap influences shining through, Ramirez’s openly tender rhymes step perfectly in line to the serenity of Winston’s instant hooks.

Winston says on the new single: “This represents one of the most beautiful times of my life, waiting for my first child to arrive and watching my high school sweetheart go through pregnancy…I realised what superpowers she and all women have, and it gave me a lot of inspiration through that time…I got a tweet from Ramirez last year just said ‘u the truth bruh’ I was like how’s he even know me!? We started chatting n throwing music we were working on to each other and I ended making something with him in mind, within a couple of days he’d sent a verse back. He put a snippet of it on his story and it’s been my most frequent dm since so I’m glad to be finally releasing it for those people.”

“All Of The Little Things” arrives in the wake of the band’s Cover Your Mouth (Live From Lockdown) EP, released in March this year. From their respective Sydney loungerooms, the six-piece recorded some of their biggest influences via a series of cover versions, bringing joy to fans keen to experience live music again. In a pre-pandemic 2019, the band dropped their eagerly awaited sophomore album Apple Crumble to rave reviews, played packed out shows globally, and gave a show-stopping headline set at Splendour In The Grass that achieved immortality via triple j’s Live At The Wireless. Cue 2020, and the band focused on new beginnings while the world stopped, most notably for frontman Winston, with the arrival of his first child, and a collaboration with friend Angus Stone on the Dope Lemon track “Every Day Is A Holiday”. It went on to amass over 8 million streams, and land #107 in triple j’s Hottest 200.

Winston Surfshirt initially began as the solo project of the eponymous frontman, singer, producer and rapper, before organically calling upon some of his closest friends and other local artists to become the globally cherished musical collective they are today. The band’s cult following is reaffirmed with every impeccably tight and equally raucous live show, as the lines between funk, soul and hip-hop blur seamlessly. From their stellar 2017 debut and triple j Feature Album, Sponge Cake to present day, the band have garnered wide-spread praise from international tastemakers including Beats 1 host Zane Lowe, Sir Elton John, Jason Bentley (KCRW), Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart (BBC Radio 1), and Lauren Laverne (BBC Radio 6). The band’s festival billings continue to climb, as the world aims to resume and add to a list that includes Splendour In The Grass, Spilt Milk, Falls Festival, Field Day and sold-out British & European shows all over.

As part of their aspiring continuum for fun and heart-warming singalongs, soak up every minute detail when you listen to today’s newest song from one of Australia’s best-loved acts, Winston Surfshirt.
