As the first female country artist in Australia to sell platinum albums and perform national sell-out shows, Gina Jeffreys took a 12 year break from releasing new music to raise her family and now makes a welcome return on August 9 with her beautifully crafted and emotional new album ‘Beautiful Tangle’.

Gina will be back on the road with the ‘Beautiful Tangle Tour’ taking in venues across Australia from August 10 and into the New Year.

Speaking about the album Gina said, “We all sat in the same room and recorded all the tracks live. It’s pretty organic. Kind of stripped back and naked!! There are songs that were hard to write without crying.  Songs about family, my love, my heart and my life. I kind of feel as excited as I did when my first album came out over 25 years ago.”

As a person who genuinely wears her heart on her sleeve, the sharing of emotion is reflected in Gina’s song-writing and vocal delivery on ‘Beautiful Tangle’.

Gina opens up in the song ‘Milestones’ about losing her baby, something she hasn’t been able to discuss up until now, describes in ‘Gypsy Soul’ about feeling torn between wanting to be on the road and also wanting to stay at home, sings about mental health in ‘Ferris Wheel Ride’ and performs a duet with Lee Kernaghan called ‘He Still Wants to Dance with Her’ – a song about extraordinary love based on Gina’s parents.

Produced by Gina’s husband and award winning record producer/musician Rod McCormack, ‘Beautiful Tangle’ features all acoustic instruments and delivers energy, harmony and heart.

Recorded at The Sound Emporium in Nashville, ‘Beautiful Tangle’ follows the recent release of Gina’s #1 single ‘CASH’. The inspiration for ‘CASH’ comes from Gina’s career-launching tour in 1994 as the support act for the legendary Johnny Cash that took Gina from singing to five people a night to 15,000 people a night!

Gina Jeffreys has been part of the country music industry for nearly 30 years, beginning when she won Star Maker in 1991.
