Praise for SPACEY JANE and SUNLIGHT

“Not many bands currently on the circuit out has much energy into their performance as Spacey Jane do. Their sets are electric and infectious; even if you don’t know a song, you’re moving by the time it’s finished” – NME

“Despite such difficult subjects, the infectious songs punch through the gloom. Even in emotional dark times, sometimes all you need to do is bask in a little Sunlight.”  – The West Australian, 4.5/5

“One of the standout strengths of Spacey Jane is their live show. It’s utterly infectious. They play like they’re having a blast on stage and it means crowd does too. Their energy and passion might only be bettered by that of their fans… screaming back the lyrics of every song”  – triple j

It’s a brand new year and Spacey Jane are gearing up to make things a little brighter by taking their debut album Sunlight on a huge tour around Australia.

With numerous shows across the country planned, cancelled, rescheduled and cancelled again in 2020, the Fremantle four piece are keen to head East once more.

They’ve kicked off 2021 with a big bang, taking out the #2 spot in triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown with “Booster Seat”. Three more tracks from Sunlight made the countdown, with “Weightless” at #81, “Straightfaced” at #28 and “Skin” placing #15 marking a momentous and celebratory day for the band.

Last week, they delivered rays of light to listeners across the country with their cover of The Beatles’ “Here Comes The Sun” for triple j’s Like A Version, along with an absolute top notch performance of “Booster Seat”.

Released in June last year, Sunlight reached #2 on the ARIA charts and was voted Album of the Year in the triple j Listener’s Poll. And just a few days ago, one of their earliest singles “Feeding The Family” achieved Gold Status.

The band are stoked to finally be taking the full album on a national tour; “We’re so excited to finally have the opportunity to play these songs on the road! It’s been a long time since we’ve managed to tour Australia, and we’re all rearing to go! These will be our biggest shows to date, in venues we’ve only dreamed of playing – see you out there ️”

Spacey Jane will be joined with good friend and fellow Perthian, Carla Geneve as they head around the country.
